On 28 October 2010, a ceremony was held during IAF/ILAC 2010 Joint Annual meetings to celebrate the 12th anniversary of the IAF MLA and the 10th anniversary of the ILAC MRA. A signing ceremony of newly joined signatories to ILAC MRA and IAF MLA was also held.
 
Madame Wang Fengqing mentioned in her speech that as a full member of international and regional accreditation organizations, China had actively participated in the development of international mutual recognition system. China successively signed all the mutual recognition arrangements in the world and in Asia Pacific region after having been evaluated rigorously time after time by peers as competent. China had benefited a lot after signing the international mutual recognition arrangement. Accredited results of china had been widely recognized and accepted in the world, which set up a platform for certification, testing and inspection results of China to obtain international recognition. Accredited results of CNAS became a condition necessary for import and export trade in some countries and regions.
 
Madame Wang Fengqing also said that China would make further efforts to promote the value of accreditation and IAF/ILAC MLA/MRA to be acknowledged by more people and be accepted in a wider area, and promote accreditation and mutual recognition results to be recognized by more organizations and departments. We would continue to cooperate with international peers to make sustaining effort to realize our goal of ‘Global Acceptance’.
The ceremony was co-presided by IAF Chair, ILAC Chair and CNAS Chief Executive. More than 200 delegates of IAF/ILAC members from 73 countries and economies, and representatives from other related international organizations such as ISO (International Organization for Standardization), IEC (International Electrotechnology Committee), OIML (International Organization of Legal Metrology), ITU (International Telecommunication Union), UNIDO (The United Nations Industrial Development Organization), WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency) and GLOBALGAP (The Global Partnership for Good Agriculture Practice) etc. attended the ceremony. Leaders from AQSIQ (General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People’s Republic of China), CNCA (Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China), CNAS, CCAI (China Certification and Accreditation Institute), ISCCC (China Information Security Certification Center), Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision, Shanghai Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, and Shanghai Association for Quality also attended the ceremony.
