CNAS Received International Peer Evaluation

During August 8--13, 2011, CNAS received and passed smoothly the on-site evaluation by the Peer Evaluators respectively from Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (PAC) and Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation(APLAC).
This Peer Evaluation (P.E.) intended to confirm the Multilateral Recognition status in APLAC of CNAS in the accreditation system of testing and calibration laboratories. Inspection bodies, medical labs, reference material producers, as well as the Multilateral Recognition status in PAC of CNAS in the accreditation system of QMS, EMS and product certification bodies. The 9 evaluators were from the accreditation bodies of New Zealand, Australia, USA, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Philippines, Japan, Hong Kong and Chinese Taipei. They were rich in the knowledge and experience in their own speciality fields and accreditation practice.
During the 6-day evaluation, the peer evaluators reviewed large quantities of accreditation records at CNAS office and witnessed the on-site assessment of CNAS to 14 conformity assessment bodies, including CBs, labs, inspection bodies and reference material producers. They conducted an overall and detail evaluation on CNAS accreditation system and activities.
In the evaluation, the P.E. teams fully affirmed the effective running of CNAS accreditation system. CNAS will earnestly study the improvement suggestion put forward by the P.E. teams and consummate constantly the accreditation system.
